1) Download Norway's best rated app for charging before you go
420 000 Norwegians already use our Bilkraft app. The app is the best rated charging app in both App Store and Google Play in Norway. If you have the app downloaded, you'll be ready to charge when you arrive to one of our 247 charging stations.
2) Be smart – save time and money
Stop charging when you reach 80 %. Most people don't need to fully charge their battery. To charge to 100 % is most often slow, expensive and can cause long waiting times for other people.
When the battery surpasses 80 %, we charge NOK 1 extra per minute you charge in addition to the KWH cost. We do this to reduce waiting times at the charging stations.
3) Check the price before you charge
We have the same prices if you charge using the app or if you drop in using Vipps. You find all the current prices in the Bilkraft app and on eviny.no. We know some people find it difficult to find prices with some of the charging providers. With us, you pay the same for fast and ultra fast charging.
The current energy prices mean it's cheaper to charge in the middle and north of Norway than in the south.
4) Want to avoid long waits? Check the app
We know it's annoying to have to wait in line at the charging stations. That's why we build ultra fast chargers to make the charging process as quick as possible. And on the busiest locations we build multiple charging points, which makes for less waiting. If you're wondering if there's going to be a like at your next stop, check the app to see how many charging points there will be.
5) Charge when the battery is warm
Charging the car when the battery is warm makes the process go quicker. Some cars have the opportunity to preheat the battery. Other cars need to be driven to heat up the battery.
6) Check the output of the chargers
Not all chargers is equally fast. The higher kW the charger can give, the quicker you'll be able to charge. But most of the times, the charge limits the charging speed.
We keep installing ultra fast chargers with 360 kW output around the country. Use the filter in the Bilkraft app to find our ultra fast chargers.
7) Make use of your charging stop
When you stop to charge, stretch your legs. Use our map of charging stations to plan your next stop. Most of our charging stations are located close to shops or other service offers. Maybe you can go get some food while you wait?
8) Remember the charging bonus
When you activate the charging bonus in the Bilkraft app you'll save up a bonus everytime you charge. The tenth time you charge, we will deduct your bonus from the price.
Activate the charging bonus in the Bilkraft app under Offers and discounts. Choose "Bilkraft ladebonus" and click "activate discounts"
9) Sick of all the apps? Use Vipps!
Of course you can pay with Vipps at our charging stations. We were the first charging provider to take payments with Vipps. Even though most of our customers are happy using the app, it's still easy to charge without it.
